Bio

My name is Memory, some call me Jay R. I enjoy long walks on the beach and the occasional balloon ride.... Just playing, I'm a Tattoo Artist, licensed in the state of Connecticut and Rhode Island, and I'm owner of Memories Ink. I've been tattooing for a little over ten years. I do a wide variety of styles, but I'm partial to color pieces and anime tattoos. The Butterfly King, a title given to me by some of my friends, I've done a bunch of them, and have grown to be known for them.

I'm currently booking appointments and will try my best to return any call or message as soon as possible. I tend to check the emails on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be patient with me please.

In this business we get a bunch of the same questions over and over, hopefully below some can be answered.

Shop Minimum

Currently our minimum is $80. We do not charge by the hour. Everything, no matter how small, starts at $80 and goes up based on size, placement, details, colors, etc. We can price things through contacts, but in my attempt to give my clients the best value we can, it'll always be a range. Exact prices are only given in person.

Walk In Availability

We currently take walk ins all the time, but appointments are preferred, because they will be honored over walk ins.

Appointments

No appointment is made without a deposit on the tattoo. Word of mouth declarations will be treated as a walk in. Deposits are at least $100 or one/third of the agreed upon price of the tattoo. Tattoos can also be paid in full ahead of time as well. Deposits can be made in person, via Cash app, or Zelle. They are also non-refundable. Cancelations can only result in rescheduling and must be done within 24 hours of your appointment. In the shop, we accept Cash, all major Credit Cards, Apple pay, Samsung pay, Zelle, and Cash App, but with Cash App, we will charge the instant processing fee.

Be Ready

Please be ready to be tattooed. Please make sure you've eaten something. Tattoos on an empty stomach aren't recommended.  As far as proper clothing, we make no guarantees on clothing, so please wear something you won't mind ink getting on. We usually do our best to protect what you have on, but no guarantees. Also, please wear appropriate clothing for the area you're getting tattooed. Take the time to consider the area and our access to it before you get here. That and any numbing product used should be applied before you get here.
